Preparing for the first notes of spring

It was a beautiful afternoon yesterday and I had the opportunity to leave the office early for a doctor’s appt at Baker Street. I arrived early and browsed the shops on Marylebone High Street. A lovely independent bookstore with aged wood shelves lined colourful books. An Oxfam book and music store where I picked up Office Politics secondhand. Le Pain Quotidien around the corner. Kitchen stores dotted along the street.
The cafes took their white wrought iron garden tables and chairs out from storage and customers sat al fresco drinking white wines and spritzers, soaking up the sun.
The courtyard of the church was alive with pink blossomed trees and the benches freshly painted to usher in the spring.
