sofa so good

We’re moving to a new place and it’s a great newly refurbed flat (we’re the first tenants post refurb) and it’s got lots of sunlight and the landlord has given us a budget to get whatever furniture we want! They were quite happy for us to have a hand in choosing what we liked since we’re the ones going to live there! Whoohoo!

So we trooped to Ikea and bought a bed, mattress, sofa, armchair, coffee table, dining table, dining chairs, and side tables. We spend two hours getting there and two hours getting back by bus; we were in the vicinity of a direct bus to Ikea. But London Transport being London Transport, the bus which was supposed to arrive every 10-12 minutes arrived 25 minutes late, and made a U-turn before reaching the end of his route to make up for lost time. The driver told us to get off!

So we got my favourite sofa from Ikea and when it was delivered, it wouldn’t fit into the stairwell and had to be returned. Got another sofa. Hopefully it’ll fit! Fingers crossed.
