Four Seasons - give the Bayswater branch a definite miss

My friend EL raves about the roast duck at the Bayswater branch of Four Seasons. We went there for dinner tonight, a table of 7 of us. Service was so bad we just decided that the duck wasn’t worth it. We all arrived at different times, and though EL made a reservation, not only we were not given a table, but we were pushed and shoved around by the staff as well as other patrons because we were simply queueing inside the restaurant which didn’t have any room for potential customers queueing. When we asked abotu our table, the staff were unbelievably rude. It was not a pleasant experience at all. I will never, ever go back to the Four Seasons at Bayswater.

I usually go to the one in Chinatown, which is a much more civilized experience. It’s nearer home and work too. Perhaps, just perhaps, the duck pales only slightly in comparison, but it’s definitely much more civilized.
