Autumn in Madrid

Sure, it’s “the continent,” that’s why they call it “Continental Europe” and sure it’s just that bit further south. Sunny skies and more obedient weather really does help lift one’s mood, even if it’s a touch chilly. I left London’s naked trees and grey skies and was pleasantly surprised to hear on the in-flight announcements that it would be a high of 18 during the day. I walked out on the streets with a cable knit cardi and had no fear. It was still autumn in Madrid.
