A week of “oeufs brouillés”

This week has been a week of scrambled eggs. Metaphorically of course. Most days have been sans breakfast even though the intent was there. Some days were good busy (today); some days have been bad busy (Tuesday). Lots of details are hazy - everything has just moved at such a pace. I am now dead to hair dye (pun intended, if you got it) and am moving onwards and upwards.

I know someone, an ex colleague, who always wore white shirts with black (well, grey really) jeans. What was good - not having to think about matching, about which shirt to wear, and not having someone pipe up “hey, weren’t you just wearing that shirt the day before?” while secretly actually thinking, “dude, don’t you launder your clothes?” Well, it’s so much easier for men to get away with this. Wearing the same top on Thursday as you did on Tuesday isn’t okay, especially if you’re a woman and especially if it’s a distinctive top.

Today was a good day coz I finally could manage my own time and juggle all that I had to do instead of doing twice to work needlessly. Work was fun. Work was exciting. And of course, work, on my new HP laptop, was much more productive than on the previous lemon of a desktop that I was given before asking for this laptop.

With such a scramble off the week, I’m looking forward to a team breakfast at Smith’s tomorrow - scrambled eggs I think. To finish off the week!
