Camden reinvented
Now that they’ve (re-)opened parts of Camden, I love Camden. Steffy and Jasmine would love the new Camden markets. Shopping isn’t only goth rock anymore even though it still forms a significant part of the high street. A very interesting shift (in London high street fashion) - lots of Asia-manufactured clothes are now readily available in high street shops like Topshop and Dorothy Perkins. Small, independent shops/stalls in Camden also carry similar if not outright identical apparel. Typically at half price or less, and we’re not talking about manufactured-in-Asia-for-UK-market clothes like Primark or H&M.
Anyway, they’ve opened a part of the original Camden Lock market that had been under renovations - the Horse Stables or Horse Hospital area which now sells mainly antique furniture. Within Camden Lock market, they’ve also “opened” up the area allowing a lot more natural light in. They’ve also opened up a new section of market opposite Camden Lock, next to Regent’s Canal and that’s a really nice, new market.
Yesterday’s spoils: 2 dresses from Canden, fake lash glue from Mac and a mini eyelash curler from Shu Uemura.
