Diner and portraits

Just uploaded another batch of photos from Cornwall with my parents to Flickr last night. Sunday night, we went to a little restaurant on the Mousehole (pronounced Mouzzell) side of Penzance next to a little stream. It was the day before my dad’s birthday and it was a little way to celebrate after the utterly uncomfortable overnight train journey where we discovered that “sleeper train” didn’t automatically mean sleeper carriages with beds AND with of course remembering the two mad women wreaking havoc on the train, making it next to impossible to get to sleep. The restaurant was a tiny little thing with just 6 – 8 tables, one waitress and one chef. The menu sounded divine and I had the tempura as a main and shared in the mussels. Everything was yummy.

While waiting for the food to arrive, I started playing with my camera. The restaurant was really quaint with strings of lightbulbs hanging both outside and inside which was painted that distinct by-the-sea blue. I’m really happy with the B&W portraits I took of. The one that was taken of me wasn’t as nice though.
