Cloth scraps

I was really happy to find (i) fat quarters (which I didn’t buy) and (ii) these scrap remnants which are handkerchief square sized at the fabric store today. There were so many I could have easily picked up three times the quantity I purchased.

I love blues in props to compliment the yellows, oranges, and reds that are found frequently in food. I loved the maroony red all-over floral pattern. I thought the apple print, which works both sides looking up or down, would make a fantastic napkin or surface detail for things with apple in it and apple is such a versatile cooking ingredient. And the natural coloured ones are just so versatile. And these were all for less than S$2 per piece.

I might need to go back for more!! :)
