Banana choc chip muffin breakfast
It’s nice to have time for breakfast. I am feeling very mixed. It’s difficult to articulate.
Spring blossoms
Walked from Rana’s to town today and saw this on the way and thought it was absolutely perfectly pretty.

Lunch at Kiraku
I’ve decided to try as many new restaurants as I can if I’m going to be leaving London and Kiraku has been on my list since I read about it on Tamarind & Thyme and so Lydia and I trooped to Ealing Common (8 Station Parade, Uxbridge Road, Ealing Common, W5 3LD) today on the 207, got off a stop too late and backtracked to the restaurant.
We both wanted the katsu don and...
Sometimes
Sometimes things don’t turn out the way you expect them to but the result is more amazing that you could have imagined. This picture was taken by my Instagram iPhone app. The subject was a ceiling with tiny bulbs made to resemble a star studded night sky. The lens flare was a fluke but isn’t it amazing? In the same vein, what happened on Friday might not have been the most pleasant...
My charm bracelet
Some people buy charm bracelets and all the charms at one go. I’m collecting mine one by one as I go along. I’ve got a ballerina because I like the performing arts (I don’t like modern dance though, I don’t get it). There’s a camera because some day, I’d like to be able to make a living styling food and photographing food. There’s a carriage that makes...

An evening at De Hems
I don’t do partying photos much at all and I don’t typically dance either but last week I did take some photos at the De Hems last week (which I shall classify as “portraits”) when Eric was in town
Katherin. She’s German. I love her hair - the curls and the colour.
It was a pretty international gathering and a rather random one coz Eric bumped into his...

I’m feeling a little stressed. I’m hoping it will all be okay.
Coffee break
Having a coffee right now coz I’m totally tired and can’t really concentrate on work. I feel utterly drained. Computer nerds eh? Some of them really have zero social skills. At least life’s better with shoes!

Four things that I'm happy about
1. These shoes! I really wanted a pair of uniquely coloured Oxfords (i.e. non black or brown) and saw these! They’re kind of a neutral grey with the prettiest crocheted panels. I wanted to go to John Lewis to get some ribbon to substitute for the laces but that was a failed attempt.
2. I went to F&W for coffee today.
3. It’s Friiiii-day!
4. Friend visiting from Hanover from...

Through a kaleidoscope
Can anyone guess where this is? A colleague was playing around with his kaleidoscope today and we birthed the brainchild of using our mobile phone cameras and taking pictures through a clear, multifaceted kaleidoscope. This was the result. I think it’s quite cool. What do you think? And where do you think it is?

Steamed Broccoli and fresh button mushrooms
I hesitate to label this post with “recipes” because it’s so easy but I will tell you what’s in it so it’s sorta a recipe. A head of broccoli, some sliced button mushrooms, a knob of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter (because I couldn’t find butter), some salt & pepper and some dukkah that I made from Chocolate & Zucchini’s wealth of...

5 reasons why I love Columbia Road
1. The flower market is open on Sundays (even though I haven’t gotten into the habit of buying flowers).
2. There are little independent shops that sell a mix of interesting things, some old, some new.
3. Little things that feed my love of giving life to inatimate objects.
4. Little nooks and crannies.
5. Pretty edibles that look good enough to eat! Wait - they are!

Nutella cupcakes with Nutella cream cheese...
I didn’t know 5 Feb was World Nutella Day but I do read Tartelette’s blog religiously so when she spoke of Nutella cupcakes (Nutella being one of my most favourite things in the world; every time I bump into a co-worker in the kitchen with my breakfast, he/she will say something like “I think you missed a corner with the Nutella), I knew I had to try the recipe out myself....
Rainy days
It’s a great weekend when you’re busy with friends and hanging out yet you manage to get a shit load of things done and enjoy things like the raindrops on the window panes.
It’s Friday night and I’m tired. G’night world.
I know him! His name is Tim!

Coffee and creating
Am I busy? Oh my goodness yes but I really needed to step out into what’s left of today’s sunshine. We have pretty good coffee here but I’ve been so manic busy that I wanted damn good coffee and someone to make it for me. So here’re a picture of a couple of flatwhites from F&W taken with Instagram; takeaway I’m afraid coz there was no time to sit down.

She.
I turned my chair so that I could look out the window into the streams of sunshine at Campania Gastronomia and talk to my friends at the table. And then I saw her. And this was just a moment in time that I had the fortune to capture.
