A breakfast of sunshine

The Mac & Cheese Challenge #2 of 8
This mac & cheese recipe originally called for Serrano ham but I had lardons leftover so I used that instead. There’s no such thing as bad bacon, right? And because veggies are important, I added broccoli, inspired by the “mac & trees” recipe I got off the Whole Foods iPad app.
Perhaps it’s the cheese or the lack of pureed cauliflower but this mac & cheese...

I first became a fan of mac & cheese at Stella’s (took me a while to find their website as obviously they aren’t SEO optimized!!) Early fall in Philly
The tree-lined streets around Pine Street are pretty. It looked like the start of fall, maybe it even was. But my days in Philly were humid and sometimes unbearable. Most days, I had to siesta betweek 3 and 6 to hide from the heat and sun.

I miss Leon
Leon is my twinnie’s fave salady/hot food lunch place in London and I had that for lunch yesterday. I had the Pork Jambalaya- slow cooked pork with cajun spices, tomatoes and chorizo sausage, which came with some brown rice salad and cabbage/kale salad. Oh and green peas which I had to pick out one by one. It was good! I like Leon.
