Things that make me happy
I was going to do a “Things I’m thankful for” reminiscent of Sunday School but decided on this instead.
Shoes. More specifically, (high) heels. I love interesting detail on shoes, contrast colour on the toes à la Chanel, polka dots, embroidery, lace, buttons, bows. I was shoe shopping yesterday for a pair that I could wear to an outdoor summer concert (I’m going to see...

Sunday night project
Yesterday we were at Sue & Shel’s for a BBQ and we took this photo. I’m sure it’s been done a million times before but it was fun doing it (Sheldon got the string), the tealight holder was in the same colour scheme as my dress, and we were just having some fun with the camera. All I wanted was a picture of my new dress really. I coloured in the lippy and cheeks. This is...
The body willing, mind uncooperative
My day was probably a 6/10. Overall. It was a beautiful sunny day, I had a strawberry tarte at Le Pain Quotidien, I saw a flat that I liked, I was surrounded with friends; today was a good day. But I didn’t take the pictures I wanted to take. I felt awkward and gangly and I couldn’t seem to shake it away. It’s supposed to be another sunny day. I hope it’s a better day...
Spots and stripes
Working from home means that the shoes don’t get to go out :)
The special two
I like her music.
And especially this album.
And especially The Special Two.
So why am I still afraid?
It’s human nature to make decisions that are best for them, at the time of deciding, right? That’s what I’ve always believed. No one in his/her right mind makes a decision that they believe is wrong. Even if they themselves think that the other is probably a better bet yet still decide on this, intrinsically they must think that ultimately, they’re making the best decision....

Beirut street food in London
Yalla Yalla at 1 Greens Court, W1F 0HA.
Special of the day - marinated chicken wings.
Spicy sausages.
Falafel. I don’t eat it. It’s chick peas. But this has to be the most gorgeous looking falafel I’ve ever seen in my entire life. It almost made me want to try some. Almost. But then I remembered, I don’t eat chick peas.
Marinated beef slices on a bed of...
There's nothing I can't do
Concrete jungle where dreams are made of There’s nothing you can’t do Now you’re in New York These streets will make you feel brand new Big lights will inspire you Hear it for New York

An excerpt from the song Taking Chances
Don’t know much about your life Don’t know much about your world But don’t want to be alone tonight on this planet they call earth
You don’t know about my past and I don’t have a future figured out And maybe this is going too fast And maybe it’s not meant to last
But what do you say to taking chances What do you say to...
Love
I know it’s silly but I love these bowls from Anthropologie. I’ve shopped too much this month, otherwise I’d buy them. One in each design at least. And have a South of France themed dinner party with a Mediterranean feast and guests.
My 4th run in a week
I ran 5km yesterday from the flat to Evonne’s, rang her door bell and said hello to her and then turned around and ran back. Silly isn’t it, but it was my way of making sure that I’d fulfill my objective with her as the halfway mark. This was my route. I’m quite happy about my progress yesterday. It’s only a stop gap but it was an improvement. Each time I’m...

Amsterdam
Last week I was in Holland and Belgium for a shoot. London-Amsterdam-Haarlem-the shoot set-Brussels-the shoot set-London. I really wasn’t meant to go because Benelux isn’t a market that I handle but Caroline was in Czech for the Czech/Slovak shoot and couldn’t get to the first day of the shoot and Anne was on annual leave at a music festival in Germany; they’re the...
Same time, next year
Ohmigosh, this is such a fantastic film. Thanks Daan for the recommendation. I absolutely and thoroughly enjoyed this.
Defying gravity
I first heard this song on the Glee soundtrack and then found that it was from the musical Wicked! The green face of Elphaba didn’t really appeal to me so instead of posting a video I’ll post lyrics and you can search for the video. I want to defy gravity.
Something has changed within me Something is not the same I’m through with playing by the rules Of someone else’s game...
Mornin' world
I ♥ coffee but I usually have tea when I get up because it’s just so much easier to get ready. I actually have a coffee machine but it’s generally untouched during the week and only goes out to play on weekends. I have coffee at work, all the time because it’s there and because I don’t have to clean up the machine. Sometimes I wish I were more the ‘tortured...

So I made my own ice cream
Right, so you don’t actually see ice cream, but I did make ice cream. I made chocolate, blueberry & ricotta and caramel. I also made cucumber sandwiches (well, Andrew made them) cut into dinosaur shapes and a black forest cake which was Jamie’s belated birthday gift. It was a very nice afternoon with friends.

Wandering
I woke up at 5:30 this morning. I think I’m still on Central European Time, working hours. Accompanied by Earl Grey tea and my Mac.
I met a really interesting bunch of people at the recent shoot. I’ve never actually interacted with the Dutch before and they’re a cool bunch of people. Granted the ones I met are in film production. They were by far the best to work with,...
