Spoilerphobia vs. spoilerphilia →
A friend wrote an entry about how he hates spoilers and people (or anything!) telling him the ending of things - i.e. spoilers. I thought that was very interesting because I love spoilers. I enjoy something - a show, a film, a book - knowing whats at the end of it. And I hate it when someone else thinks that he or she shouldn’t tell me what the ending is because I’ll enjoy it less....
www.muxtape.com
I remember being 11, 12, 13… sitting in my room at Grand Tower, dubbing The Bangles’s Eternal Flame continuously on a 1 hour cassette tape with my twin radio cassette recorder. And then listening to it hours on end on my Sony Walkman! Compiling my own mixed tape with my fave songs. What a world away that was. It was the roaring 80s! The canal was lined with boats and there were people basking on top of their boats, eating ice creams on the...
Yes, it has been 3 months since I was in Paris and I have yet to complete the upload of my photos. It’s so easy to procrastinate but as Caroline wanted a few pictures of Paris to add to her wedding gift registry, I thought I should try to get my ‘portfolio’ up and running. She had her civil wedding ceremony last week and was blessed with gorgeous sunshine. Their families and...
The Sound of Music & I
I’m watching the Sound of Music now. I have absolutely no idea how many times I’ve seen this film. I think I watch it between twice and three times a year and I first saw the film when I was 4, with my dad. So by my estimation I must have seen it at least 50 times. I know the words and music to every single song and I can repeat the key lines of the dialogue. One of the reasons why I...
