[Central] London's only shopping mall: according...
Westfield opened yesterday and I went in the evening after work. Two main shopping floors, with extensions upwards and downwards at some ends. According to The Independent, it’s a 43-acre shining retail cathedral, and apparently larger than the Buckingham Palace grounds. Crowded, yes, but not overly so particularly since it was opening day. All my favourite high street shops and then some!...

Party nights and pre-historic days
My version of party nights is dinner with friends, at home or out. Am too old for the clubbing thing and have never liked that sort of lifestyle anyway. Back in the days when smoking used to be allowed in clubs, I hated smelling like an old ashtray in the middle of the night. So much of the London Underground doesn’t work on weekends. The shared section of the Circle/Hammersmith/District lines is a favourite for repairs.
Leaves-a-going
It’s really cold in London now nd it’s not winter yet, let alone the height of winter. The heating isn’t on yet but it is chilly and I’m already wearing my new fuchsia winter coat from H&M and (yes believe it!) a thermal tank under my sweater!
